Shinichi Osawa

This guy is a Japanese Producer and DJ that is captivating the North American scene with the help of DIM MAK. His sound is comparable to Van She Tech has an indescribable electro punk-disco feel that sounds great.

Here's an original favorite of mine and Hunter's, remixed by Mr. Osawa. He did a great job and is one of my favorite remixes of all time.

Not the usual DIM MAK flava flave, which I like to see. I really like the Japanese Popstars Remix of this song as well, preview and DL link provided @320!

My Name is Skrillex

Sonny Moore is an American musician who has been in various bands and had a solo career under the same name, but is most known for his time as the lead singer of the "emo" band From First To Last. Throughout the early 2000's, Moore has been producing electronic music under his name, even making Alternative Press' 100 To Watch. As of late 2009, Sonny Moore started DJ-ing in Los Angeles clubs under a different alias, 'Skrillex' which was taken from an AIM username Moore used as a teenager. Skrillex gained a lot of attention in the LA club scene by playing lively, energetic shows normally not seen with electronic music DJ's. He also released remixes of metal-core band Bring Me the Horizon, indie rockers Twin Horizon and Lady Gaga.

With his style of music ranging from dubstep to electro to house to even metal and his live shows, his music gained the attention of a certain Mau5 who exclusively played his tracks until eventually signing him to his label 'Mau5trap'. And because of Deadmau5's support, Skrillex quickly became a house hold name in the electronic dance music scene.

Skrillex has released one EP My Name Is Skrillex which was available as a free download on his website and will be release a full length entitled Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites on Mau5trap in late 2010.

Skrillex is currently on tour with Deadmau5 all across America. But you're in luck! On the 29th of October, Skrillex will be playing a sold out show with Dubstep duo Nero, right here in Rain City at Celebrities Nightclub.

Chauffeur

I'm guessing Chauffeur is pretty under the radar still. He has two great remixes that I've found. Its really too bad that I can't find anything about the face or faces behind this name. All the blogs I've looked through over the last week haven't said much at all. It seems like there isnt much to find.

"Born in a club and raised by a pack of wild prostitutes, Chauffeur avoids the light of day. He prefers to live when the stars come out. At night the city is alive and you can feel her pulse. It is the solid thumping kick momentarily drowning all of your senses, the pummeling synths that will turn you savage, the melody and sounds that release your soul. Celebrate good times c’mon!"

Both Robot Dance Music and Stoney Roads have this write up. So who did write it and who is Chauffeur? This may take some time but I'm in. Its not fair to just lead people on like that.

Seem like he/she or they are from Calgary, Canada and have put on an EP on Top Billin Music. We just so happen to have a new addition to the RainCity staff out that way. Therefore Reagan's soul purpose is to get an interview with Chaffeur and figure out exactly what going on behind the name Chauffeur. In the mean time here are the two remixes that have everyone in the bloggersphere scratching their heads. Plus one original.
Be careful don't get flattened.

Bingo Players

Well long story short I can't find any information on these guys. What the hell hey? They are so dam good and when they were in town playing Ginger 62 I stuck playing a residents night at Shine until 2:30 am. just my luck. Since then they have been continuing their world tour throughout the US and Europe. Take a look at these tracks I've been pumping them pretty well every morning on my way into the woods. I really hope they come back soon. I'll make sure to take the night off.

Clockwork

Hello RainCity, I've had the pleasure to work with the one and only, Hunter-Even. After spending countless hours with him in a bush hundreds of miles away from a McDonalds, we realized I should get involved with the site. Being based out of Calgary, I'll be posting reviews from the area. Enough chit chat, and on with some tunes!

Clockwork or Henry Steinway is one man based from LA and who's produced a good number of remixes that are widely spread out in genre. With a few mash ups including one with The Office theme song, and an arsenal of Dutch House mixes, Clockwork has made it to the top of my scouting list and I look forward to his new releases from Kinetika Records.

Valerna

Over the last year Brett Sorrentino and RJ Buchanan who are more commonly known as Valerna have been slowly building a fan base in their home town L.A. As of late this electro duo has been working a number of new remixes and original tracks that released on July 21st. They have played with some of the worlds leading electro acts such as Harvard Bass (DubSided), Wolfgang Gartner (DIMMAK), and DATA. Here are a few of their newest track but be sure to look out for their other releases from Plasmapool including "Look Ma! No Pants" and "Teenage Mutant Techno". I'm not sure how to describe exactly what is going on here. Lets just let the noise speak for its self.
